Business Insurance Help from the Insurance Bureau of Canada

Canadian businesses are facing uncertain and challenging times. COVID-19 has had a devastating financial impact and business owners continue to face new risks and costs. When it comes to commercial insurance, many business owners are seeing their premiums rise and may be finding it increasingly difficult to get the appropriate insurance to meet their needs in certain regions.

Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) and its members are here to help protect businesses from risks and find solutions to ensure commercial insurance remains affordable. the IBC has launched a Business Insurance Action Team to help small businesses in hard hit sectors (including tourism and hospitality) find commercial insurance quotes.

Businesses who are looking to access IBC's risk manager service need to call the dedicated helpline at 1-844-2ask-IBC (1-844-227-5422). A risk manager will work with your individual business or organization to understand the insurance risk portfolio and offer tailored advice to your specific operation. They will work with you to identify and recommend techniques to mitigate risk, and offer advice on how to regularly evaluate your risk management plan. They will also review your current policy and provide suggestions on how you and your broker or agent can enhance your insurance placement goals.
