Join us Monday, March 26 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre for the 2018 Careers in Tourism Symposium. As part of TIAO’s initiative to promote tourism as a viable career option in Ontario, this symposium marks the first phase in an extended schedule of activities focussed on raising public awareness of the tourism industry.

This event seeks to facilitate an assemblage of hiring managers and HR practitioners within the tourism sector. The Careers in Tourism Symposium aims to promote face-to-face engagement on workforce strategy, learning from other jurisdictions, sharing best practices, and leveraging existing tourism workforce development programs.

THRC is the leading expert on the status of the labour market in Canada’s tourism industry. This session will provide an in-depth look at Ontario's tourism labour market, as well as insight into what we can do to get ahead of the looming labour gap.
